My original plan was to become a chef and open a restaurant. After several years in “the business”, I decided to take a little trip before settling down to the kitchen. With a one-way ticket to Europe, about $2000.00 and my camera, I set out to do a little traveling. My journey ended up taking me through 25 countries and across 5 continents, working my way with jobs in restaurants and occasionally picking fruit. When I returned to the U.S., it was clear that wanted a career that would allow me to travel.

I sold my car, and moved from Hawaii to Santa Barbara, California, to attend Brooks Institute of Photography. After about a year at Brooks, I decided to make my way into the world as a freelance photographer. I worked for a variety of newspapers, magazines and non-profits before deciding to open up a photo studio.

Although I have a solid technological photographic background, I try to keep things simple. I love to work fast, and have fun. I find that is the best formula to create beautiful images.
